The Bridal Preview
HOW TO PREPARE
FIND INSPIRATION PHOTOS & complete your PREVIEW QUESTIONNAIRE
Check out my Pinterest boards by hair and eye color, or my Instagram for my previous work.
Start by gathering several inspiration photos. Many of my Brides don't wear makeup daily, so browsing looks before your preview is helpful!
If it feels overwhelming, just save what you’re drawn to, and we’ll talk through all of the photos together.
These are only inspiration to see what colors you like, how much smoke you’d like on your eyes, etc. I will customize your look for what I feel suits you best!
You will get your Preview questionnaire to complete when you book your appointment, it will pop up with the rest of your consent forms.
TIPS ON FINDING INSPIRATION PHOTOS
Look for photos of women with similar skin tone, eye color, eye shape, and hair color.
Find photos where the details of the eye makeup is visible.
You can choose complete looks or collect various photos of pieces that you’re drawn to. Eyeshadow colors, cheek shades, or lip colors from different images.
get yourself ready like it’s your wedding day
This is test run to see the whole bridal look, you want to look complete!
Get a spray tan if you plan on getting one for wedding day.
Do your hair, not professionally, but just so it looks when you’re staring at yourself in the mirror all day.
Wear white and a neckline that is either close to your dress, or has an open neckline.
Come to your appointment with clean, exfoliated skin!

booking your preview
when TO BOOK
I recommend booking your preview when you’re able to wear your preview look for at least four hours before taking it off.
November - April has the most availability. Book your preview during this time if you need an evening or weekend appointment.
May - October is busy season for weddings, so my availability is strictly weekdays, and I have less time in the studio.
The timing of your preview relative to your wedding date doesn’t matter to me—I’ll take detailed notes and photos of your look for the big day. Please schedule your preview when it works best for you!
HOW TO BOOK
Book online through my booking site, linked below.
My availability opens on the 1st of every month for the following month (e.g., On May 1st, all of June opens.)
If you're out of state or have a specific date in mind for your preview and don’t see it available online, please let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your request!
Bridal Preview Day
consultation
Together, we'll review your inspiration photos and Bridal Preview Questionnaire.
We’ll discuss what suits your skin tone and features, as well as the best products for your skin type.
We can also cover skin prep, skincare recommendations, and anything else you’re interested in.
Creating Your Bridal Look
After discussing your vision, I’ll apply your bridal look.
We can make any immediate adjustments you’d like when I’m finished.
I’ll take lots of photos and notes for reference on your wedding day!
After Your Preview
Wear your makeup for the rest of the day and note any changes you’d like to make on wedding day!
You can note things like color adjustments or areas that felt oily or dry, where you want more highlighter, etc.

BRIDAL PARTY TIMELINE
I do not recommend creating a time slot for each party member.
Why?
Makeup application can vary: some clients may take 20 minutes, others 45. Regardless, because of the way I schedule the time block, everyone will get done on time!
If the time slot schedule gets thrown off, it will create unnecessary stress.
Hair and Makeup can move at different speeds, and won’t always finish at the same time, throwing it off.
Instead, have everyone getting makeup done arrive at the start time. I will grab each party member as I’m ready.
THE BRIDE
The Bride should get their makeup done midday or, at the latest, second to last.
Ensure you’re planned to be done before any other vendors arrive to greet you, show you florals, ask questions, want items for photos, etc. to allow a stress free and uninterrupted makeup application.
If you are someone who prefers to have a plan in writing, I recommend creating an order that you want your Bridal Party to get ready in.
For my makeup & hair lineup template - click the button below. You can plug in names in the placeholder text, they are already staggered for you to ensure there are not overlaps with hair!

bridal party prep
How to have your Bridal Party come prepared for wedding morning:
Have them show up on time, ready to get to their makeup done.
Have them bring inspiration photos. They can check out my instagram, or pinterest for ideas.
Show them my website or instagram so they are aware of what kind of work I do! Soft glam, natural enhancing makeup is my jam!
Have them to think about if…..
They want false lashes?
Prefer brown or black eyeliner?
If there is anything that they absolutely hate or love when it comes to their makeup?
IMportant details to share with your Photographer AND/OR Coordinator
MAKEUP TIMELINE
Ensure both your coordinator and photographer know the time makeup is scheduled. You can find this on your contract. This allows them to plan accordingly.
PHOTOGRAPHY COORDINATION
Getting ready photos are totally fine, but all bridal party and robes/pjs shots should not begin until everyone has their lipstick on after my completion time! :)
wedding day process
.
Arrival
I will arrive with my makeup chair and additional lighting. Please have a decent sized counter/table space for me to set up at.
Have your entire bridal party arrive on time with clean exfoliated skin and inspo pictures!
Before I leave…
I will do lipstick and any touch ups at the very end on everyone before I leave.
At this time, everyone will get their touch up baggie. Includes: a straw to keep lipstick looking fresh, mini beauty blender, touch up sample of lip color, makeup wipe and more essentials if needed!
Lunch
Schedule lunch to be eaten before I apply lipstick during the last 20-30 minutes of my time with you.
Please do not eat while in the makeup chair, but….Mimosas + hydration are strongly encouraged!!
One last little tip…
Exchange gifts and letters prior to getting makeup done! ;-)

Facials & Skincare Regimen
both are important & together they will make all the difference.
Dermaplane Facials
I recommend getting a monthly Dermaplane Facial to exfoliate off all of the facial hair, dead skin cells, dirt, oil and more to reveal radiant, glowing skin. This is a beautiful treatment to get rid of dry and flakey skin, and will help prepare your skin to look more smooth, hydrated and even, but will help your skin’s ability to absorb your skincare.
WHEN TO GET ONE?
It's never too early to start working on your skin, but I recommend getting at least 2 facials prior to the wedding date. One at about 5 weeks out, and the last being 1 -1 ½ weeks prior to the wedding date.
Skincare Plan + Recommendations
The following Morning & Night Regimes will be an easy guide to make sure you’re getting all the good, active ingredients on your skin, but not too often that you’re reacting.
Each part explains when to put on each product, and in what order. It even breaks it down by day!
**This is a basic plan for most clients! You may need to add or eliminate products or ingredients depending on your skin type. I will be customizing your skincare plan during your facial after I see and treat your skin.
morning regime
Every Morning Apply your products in this order:
1. Glycolic or Salicylic Cleanse
2. Toner
3. Vitamin C Serum
4. Hyaluronic Acid Serum
5. Moisturizer
6. Eye Cream
7. SPF 30-50+ - You can not leave your bathroom without SPF if you are using retinol! Your skin is extremely sensitive to sunlight using these products, and will make the issues you are trying to correct worse if you don't protect it from the sun!
night regime
Night #1 - Retinol Night
1. Double Cleanse: First remove makeup with a makeup removing oil cleanser or balm & then use your treatment cleanser, typically a Glycolic or Salicylic cleanser, to cleanse the skin as your second cleanse.
2. Completely dry off and apply retinol on dry skin, make sure your skin is not damp!
3. Moisturizer & Facial Oil (you can skip oil if you don’t feel super dry or flakey!)
4. Eye Cream
Night #2 - Exfoliation Night
1. Double Cleanse: Oil cleanser, and then treatment cleanser.
2. Exfoliate
3. Moisturizer
4. Facial Oil if you're really dry, flakey or tight feeling from Retinol.
5. Eye Cream
Night #3 - Hydration Night
1. Double Cleanse
2. Toner
3. Hydration Mask
4. Hyaluronic acid serum
5. Moisturizer
6. Facial oil, if needed
7. Eye Cream
Start over with Night #1 & Repeat the cycle!
